Director, Product Management

The Director Product Management is responsible for defining and delivering solution strategy, market requirements, product requirements, product line plans, roadmaps and rollout plans for the solutions.

You will identify new, innovative YouSendIt solutions from existing ideas and new concepts based on industry experience and contacts with customers and prospects, and manage the entire product management life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. You will be a strong champion of YouSendIt solutions, both internally as well as with customers, partners, small business organizations and other industry organizations, and communicate product decisions and direction to all organizations to manage feature set delivery throughout the development and product release cycles. You will provide as-needed support to sales teams via technical presentations, sales training material, white papers, lab demonstrations, and other customer engagements, analyze potential partner relationships for solutions along with Business Development, and contribute and lead efforts to continue to build and develop a strong and enthusiastic product management team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience and successful track record in delivering Internet/corporate software solutions.
  • 8+ years experience and demonstrated qualities as a leader.
  • Highly proficient in Product Management process and Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Direct experience in customer engagements, business case analysis, product definition, pricing, prioritization trade offs and new product introduction process.
  • Direct experience in competitive analysis & formulating successful competitive strategies.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing customer and market requirements and translating these into product requirements.

LEAD UI DESIGN ENGINEER

YouSendIt has an outstanding team of development engineers working on solutions with a wide range of UI design challenges. You will be responsible for creating, adapting and implementing innovative ways of achieving highly usable products within YSI. This position offers great opportunities for individual creativity and innovation. You will be responsible for providing UI Design and Usability support to YSI product development teams, including designing and specifying product UIs, the analysis and investigation of application usability, and field studies. You will drive UI Design and coordinate usability on multiple, unrelated projects, set project usability objectives, and work on problems of complex and diverse scope, identifying creative alternatives. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining UI prototypes and UI specifications while collaborating closely with development, marketing, and product management to ensure the success of product UIs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years UI Design and Usability evaluation experience.
  • Minimum 1 year as a UI Designer at a SaaS (software as a service) company working in a team environment prototyping, designing, and coding web application user interfaces.
  • Expertise in producing rapid prototypes from whiteboarding through wireframes to finished interfaces.
  • Demonstrated skill in documenting UIs.
  • Demonstrated skill in conducting all feedback methodologies (e.g., usability testing).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have solid experience with and knowledge of web-based UIs and HTML, and be able to produce UI prototypes. Proven ability to create and maintain UI prototypes and UI specifications.
  • Experience interacting with different departments including product management, marketing, and engineering.
  • Skills manipulating images for web usage with an expertise in HTML and CSS, as well as skills such as PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, etc.

Director, Product Marketing

The primary responsibility of the Director of Product Marketing focuses on “go to market” strategic planning including pricing, positioning, demand creation and distribution. This will include developing and executing marketing campaigns through email and onsite channels. This person will work closely with Product Management and Engineering on customer needs and requirements. Lead pricing strategies to maximize distribution and reach, including working closely with Product Management on conducting pricing and margin analysis and competitive pricing analysis, on an ongoing basis. Develop & implement “Routes-to-Market” plan for the product family. Execute upon both high-value to high-volume distribution strategy and partnership opportunities. Develop & implement high impact and differentiated positioning and messaging for the product family. Closely monitor the competitive marketplace and develop internal and external competitive analysis and selling-against guides for all competitive products. Manage new product introductions including sales readiness, website marketing, launch activities, integrated messaging plans, etc. Specifically develop and deliver sales enablement and sales training. Evangelize YouSendIt products through speaking opportunities at tradeshows and conferences, bylined articles, partner events, etc. Develop high-impact sales tools such as white papers, presentations, case studies, business cases, and TCO/ROI analysis.

Requirements:

  • BS in Marketing, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing for software, internet or SaaS products.
  • 8+ years of industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility and track record of success.
  • Proven leadership and successful introduction of pricing strategies
  • Must have demonstrated success launching internet products and services including execution of high-impact marketing plans.

QA MANAGER

As a QA Manager, your primary focus will be to ensure the success of major, minor, and hot fix (patch) releases. You will own the overall quality of YouSendIt’s products from the front-end to the back-end and from product inception to product deployment and support. The success measurement will be customer satisfaction. Therefore, customer advocacy in this role is a must. As a leader, you will also mentor QA leads and engineers in best practices, processes and testing techniques. Functioning in a small start-up, you are expected to be hands-on. Along with the management of the overall release (personnel, resources, products), you will also be expected to own a feature area if there are resource constraints. This position is also strategic. YouSendIt is a young company that is growing fast, so we are looking for someone that can take our current strong team and grow it into a world-class QA organization with state-of-the-art testing abilities and processes. You will work closely with all major stakeholders: Product Management, IT, Engineering, and Customer Support.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Internet/E-commerce/Web testing experience.
  • 4+ years in a QA management role.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye that matches that of a customer’s expectations.
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC and major software development methodologies and processes.
